Ways to help
Our commitments to family and work can make it difficult to engage in civic service, and not everyone can contribute comfortably in the same ways. (It was true for me, too: it was harder for me to be engaged when my kids were little(r) and while I was finishing my Ph.D.) Your bandwidth ebbs and flows like everything else: not every day is the same. In my campaign, there is always a way to help that fits your capacity.
Here are some suggestions:
Low engagement
Spreading the word (e.g., sharing posts on social media);
Attending events (and bringing your friends!);
Passing out and mailing literature (pamphlets, flyers).
High engagement
Knocking on doors (we’ll train you!);
Providing food and drink for events;
Hosting a party at your home or a park.
