Out in the community

I was interviewed about community response to gun violence while volunteering at a Hood2Hood Community Activation on July 26, 2026.

I meant what I said: I think an important piece of community work is connecting to folks already in it, uplifting each other and the work, and not starting something new if there isn't actually a gap in the needs and services for our neighbors - a lot of the time, we just don't come together to know what we're each doing and figuring out how to balance our efforts. We can do more together than alone!
